  Power beam delivery and manipulation: achieving high flexibility and productivity with lasers
  This workshop brings together industrial and academic experts from the UK, Europe and the USA to provide a series of talks on the current state of the art. The scope includes free space and fibre optic beam delivery, workstation integration and beam sharing considerations, robotic control of laser beams, high speed scanning for large area surface functionalisation and applications of integrated systems including laser cladding and hardening and remote decommissioning applications.

  The aim of this half-day meeting is to assess the need and motivation within the AILU membership for a Table Top Laser Machine Safety Special Interest Group (SIG) to be formed; and, if the outcome is sufficiently positive, to agree the aims and objectives for the SIG and the next steps.

  The 2013 International Laser Safety Conference (ILSC) is a comprehensive four-day conference covering all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control. Scientific sessions will address developments in regulatory, mandatory and voluntary safety standards for laser products and for laser use. The Practical Applications Seminar (PAS) complements the Scientific sessions by exploring everyday scenarios that the LSO may encounter.
