Non-commercial Interest in Lasers

For those members with a non-commercial interest in lasers the benefits include:

The Laser User Magazine (formerly The Industrial Laser User)

This magazine, which has attracted the highest praise from the international laser community, is distributed only to members and is generally regarded as one of the key benefits of membership. It aims to provide clear explanations of the latest laser technology and applications and stimulating discussion of the latest controversies. The growing library of articles from past issues, fully categorised, is available for members to download.

First published in 1995 it continues to go from strength to strength. You can search for articles of interest and download them for reference, see The Laser User page for more information.

Workshops

Members enjoy a discount to attend workshops; and receive advanced notice with the offer to recommend speakers, subjects and venues.

Member directories

Members have free entry, providing a valuable reference source for member networking.

Consultancy

Members enjoy free limited consultancy. And where there is an element of sensitivity in making the identity of the enquirer known, questions (sent in by telephone or email) are forwarded to selected members from the AILU office without divulging the name of the enquirer. By involving the whole membership in the consultancy activity, members are assured of practical advice on a wide range of subjects from safety to technical and business enquiries.

Forums

AILU members automatically qualify for access to the Technical Forum, through which they can make contact with members to the AILU web site who have posed technical or business questions.
